Today the sun is shining here and the temperature is supposed to hit 65 degrees. Is Spring here? I know not to get my hopes up just yet as April can sometimes bring some bad weather but I am cautiously optimistic!
There is something about the tease of a pretty Spring day that gets me excited about traveling. It is also a time that I do a little Spring cleaning and organize in my office. We typically have a trip planned for the Spring so I am starting to get things in order for that as well (no packing just yet as I am a procrastinator in that department I have to admit!).
So here are a few tips for a Spring Check Up:
Is your passport up-to-date? Air travel outside of the US requires a valid passport. Cruises do not require a passport though if you are leaving and returning from the same US port.
Out with the old and in with the new. Is your travel wardrobe in need of updating? I love to shop consignment shops as well to find some last-minute spring/summer outfits. It is a great time to donate the clothes you don’t want any more as well.
Take care of your skin and it’s time to buy sunscreen. I never forget to pack a great sunscreen and sun hat for my travels.
Exercise. During the winter months it is easy to hibernate and wear nice layers of clothing. It will be swim suit season soon so take time out of the house if only for a nice walk and exercise. Better for your health and state of mind as well. Stop and smell the roses too!
Simply enjoy family time. Often times we are so busy coming into Spring and the kids are getting ready for Spring Break. Schedule a picnic in the park or a bar-b-que in the back yard to enjoy time together while the weather is just right.
I hope to take advantage of all of these tips and tricks and plan on enjoying my Spring getaway with my family and friends!
What are your plans for this Spring?
